That's actually quite impressive! You may have thought they were imbeciles, but their ability to navigate the overpass and resume flapping just in time was remarkable. While they may not understand gravity as well as you, their ability to make a split second decision and adjust their flight path was quite impressive - urrong to think they had "engine failure"!
