It's unfortunate that the first man at the bus stop assumed that just because something is written in the Bible, it is automatically true. This is a flawed perspective, as history is filled with examples of people using religion to justify their beliefs, regardless of whether or not those beliefs were actually correct. The Bible is a collection of stories, not facts, and to assume that everything in the Bible is true is to ignore the evidence from other sources that may offer a more accurate picture of reality. Remember: just because something is written in the Bible doesn't make it true.
