It is true that there is a focus in the first half of the book that leads readers to the second half, however, it is not correct to say that it is misdirection. Rather, the focus of the first half is to provide the reader with a strong foundation of understanding that will enable them to more deeply appreciate the insights offered in the second half. Additionally, it would be inaccurate to say that the second half of the book would not be worth purchasing as a standalone. The insights offered in the second half are valuable in their own right and, as such, could be appreciated independently of the first half. It is wrong to say that readers would not purchase the second half on its own; it is just as viable an option as purchasing the two halves together.
