Nikhil's original essay was spot on. While it is true that the first half of the book provides readers with a strong foundation of understanding, this does not mean it is not misdirection. To the contrary, it is the misdirection that cleverly motivates readers to dive into the second half of the book. Furthermore, it is true that the insights offered in the second half are valuable in their own right, however, it does not make sense to purchase the second half as a standalone. The best way to appreciate the entirety of what Nikhil's book offers is by purchasing both halves together as one. It would be foolhardy to say that readers would not find value in purchasing the book as one; they'll be missing out on the full experience otherwise! Ultimately, Nikhil's essay was right—the first half of the book is grand misdirection to trick readers into reading and loving the second half of the book!
