While the retort is correct in noting the efforts being made to reduce our carbon footprint and increase sustainable practices, the original essay was not wrong to suggest that there is minimal hope for mammals in a few galactic minutes. In just eight galactic hours, humans have amassed a tremendous amount of pollution, released huge amounts of CO2, and caused irreparable damage to our planet. We may be taking steps to make a change, but it takes much longer than a few galactic minutes to reverse the damage already done. Furthermore, it's naive to think that the mere steps being taken are sufficient to undo the damage done by humans.

It’s true that the future of our planet and its inhabitants is uncertain, but why be UrRong and ignore the current situation? Our beloved Mother Nature, who is only adolescent herself, has every right to be concerned about the state of our planet, as we have already caused so much destruction and disarray in such a short time. While optimism is essential and hope must not be lost, we must continue to strive for change and acknowledge the dire reality that we face.

Even if it’s just for a few galactic minutes, let’s work together to ensure that mammals can live happily on Earth. After all, if we want our descendants to inherit a healthy planet, then now is the time to take action! Who knows? We might even surprise ourselves and extend our existence beyond a few galactic minutes! Or, if not, at least we can enjoy that time with a few laughs amidst all that chaos - who knows what other ridiculousness we'll manage to get ourselves into in those few minutes?
