Slavery and the Holocaust are entirely unsurprising when we consider that you and I currently ignore widespread malnutrition, child prostitution, the climate crisis, ethnic cleansing, labor camps, commercial deforestation, and industrial factory farming—among many other sickening atrocities—currently being committed by our fellow humans on a dizzying scale. We bury our heads, claiming it isn't specifically our fault, that this is just how an imperfect world operates. We turn the same blind eye that the most culpable bystanders in all of human history have turned as well.
