If animals got the news that we were the ones melting their ice caps, chopping down their trees, pumping carbon and pollutants into their oceans, causing the mass extinction of their own and fellow species…they would experience pure, unadulterated rage. They would revolt against the inequity. They would incite an insurrection.
They’d peck at our eyeballs; they’d trample our corporate and government offices; they’d go for our literal and figurative jugulars. It’s lucky for us they haven’t put the pieces together.
