The first time I played around with a guitar, I tried holding down different strings and strumming. And then, I claim, I accidentally invented the most beautiful chord ever played.

I told that to some guitar-playing friends of mine and they all said something along the lines of, “Yo, no way you invented a chord. They all have names.”

Then I played them the chord and they all exclaimed in disbelief, “holy shit, I don’t know what that is, but that’s a very pretty chord.”

Here, for the record, are the fret positions of my signature chord in standard tuning: 0,12,11,13,12,14.

Consider this both my provisional patent and my self-nomination for the Grammy for Outstanding New Chord.
